First cleanse yourself by bathing and putting on fresh clothes. Then take your special stone to your altar, and admire its beauty and power. Remember where you were bought or found it. Then smudge the stone with cedar or sage smoke. While smudging, give thanks for having the stone in your life, then hold it in your hand and feel its powers. Some stones may be heating and stimulating, others may be grounding and centering. Honor your stone's powers, and say: Precious stone, I give thanks for your healing power. Please help to strengthen and nourish me and all others in this home. Then place the stone in a special place on your altar or in your home. Use the stone in rituals and ceremonies. |
