Spell: Mint Magic

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

It's National Mojito Day, which is of course a great day to enjoy one of these tasty drinks. But it's also a great opportunity to highlight some of the magical properties of one of its key ingredients—mint! Easy to grow and wonderfully aromatic, this versatile herb has a reputation for keeping the peace, aiding in memory and communication, calming the mind, and providing protection.

A fresh sprig of mint placed on your altar or hung by your doorway can aid in protecting your home. A cup of mint tea shared with someone you're disagreeing with can help calm an argument and lead to a resolution. You can also anoint yourself with mint oil or tincture before going into a difficult situation. A little satchel of dried mint carried on the body can help stimulate the memory while keeping you calm.

If you decide to grow mint, be sure to keep it in a container or someplace you're okay with it spreading because it will. No arguments there!
