Spell: Getting Your Point Across

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The sun recently entered Gemini, the sign of communication. That power can be harnessed to create understanding where there is confusion. If someone has been unable to grasp a point you’ve been trying to make, write a letter to them explaining exactly what you mean, then copy it down on another piece of paper. One paper you will keep, and the other you will use in this spell.

With the flame of an orange candle, carefully light an incense charcoal in a cauldron and burn some dried marjoram. Now read your letter, imagining that you’re speaking directly to the intended recipient. After you’ve read it, light the paper in the candle’s flame, dropping it in the cauldron on top of the incense, and say:

Gemini power, your aid I seek, with
smoke and flame of Mercury; my
message delivered to whom I speak,
understood at last, so mote it be.

Be sure to extinguish the candle.
