| For this spell, you will need:
* A crafter's mask * Crafter's latex-free gloves * One clear and smooth-surfaced glass lantern * A fairy stencil * A fern leaf stencil * Masking tape * A small paintbrush * Glass-etching liquid * Paper towels * A tealight candle With mask and gloves firmly in place, fix the stencils to the lantern using masking tape. Use the paintbrush to apply an even coat of etching. Wait three minutes and apply another even coat. When you are satisfied with the results, clap, whistle, and ring bells to awaken your sprites. Carefully remove each stencil and wipe them clean with a damp paper towel. Then reapply the etching liquid evenly in another location on the glass using the stencils. Repeat this process until your lamp is covered in a flurry of frenzied fairies. Rinse your glass lantern in cold, soapy water and carefully towel-dry. When a tealight candle is lit inside the lantern, your fire fairies will leap to life. |
