Spell: Animal Blessing

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

It's World Animal Day and Saint Francis of Assisi's feast day. Find, create, or print out an image of Saint Francis, and glue or otherwise attach it to a tall, white devotional jar candle. Hold the candle in both hands and say:

"Saint Francis, please bless the animals in my life (or home). May they be happy, may they be healthy, may they be safe. Also bless all the animals in the world: surround them in kindness, comfort, and love. Open my heart and the hearts of other humans fully to other species, so that we may not harm them or use them, but rather respect and treasure them as brothers and sisters in Gaia. Thank you."

Visualize bright pinkish-white light emanating from your heart, moving down your arms, and filling the candle. Light the candle and visualize this light spreading to the hearts of all animals (humans and otherwise) on the planet.
