Spell: A Travel Charm

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

While most of us view travel as a time of excitement and wonder, even simple or accustomed trips may carry a twinge of anxiety. Have I forgotten something? Am I safe? Will I find my way?
Before you leave home, take along a pebble or twig from your front yard, and keep this as a placeanchor, a token to help direct your safe return. As you board airplane, bus, train, or car, place your hand on the vehicle's surface and pause for a moment, then repeat this charm:

"Fleet of foot and swift of wing,
Safe in your arms this charm I bring."

As you depart the vehicle, place your hand on it again and murmur a thank you. Once you arrive home, bury the pebble or twig in your front yard as a permanent place-anchor. Settling your hand on the door to your home, offer thanks, and as you step over the threshold, feel the warm protection of your own home.
