What better time to pull in and have fun with your nearest and dearest? Come straight home from work, cancel extracurricular activities, meetings, outings, sports, etc. Convene at home as early in the evening as possible. Decorate the kitchen or the dining room in seasonal colors or with artwork by the kids. Exchange small, homemade gifts, or write a poem, story, or song for each other. Prepare the evening meal together. Eat together, catching up on the latest news. Clean up together. Spend the evening together playing games, taking a walk, or performing some other activity that does not involve electronic devices. Celebrate and remind yourselves how much fun you have together. |
