Spell: Banishing Inner Darkness

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: White
Incense of the day: Lilac

Today the first "Black Cow," or root beer float, was served in 1893. To find your sweet light when you feel like you're in the middle of the dark sea, gather a dark-colored bowl, a towel, water, and some floating candles in your favorite colors. Use patchouli incense for grounding and deep inner sight. Turn out all the lights, making sure there's a little ambient light. Place the bowl on the towel. Pour water into the bowl and dip your hands in, stirring the water clockwise. As you stir, think of the things that cause you distress, anger, or other negative emotions. Keep stirring until you get it all out, then pause, and start to stir counterclockwise. For each quality, chant, "_____ I banish, from my life please banish." Keep stirring until you have chanted for all the things that cause turbulence in your life. Now slowly bring the water to a calm stillness. Breathe deeply and place a floating candle in the water. Light the candle for peace. Keep lighting candles for the qualities you wish to create in your life. Let the candles burn out. When you are finished, pour the water into the ground and bury the leftover wax.
