Spell: Accumulating Wealth Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Turquoise
Incense of the day: Apricot

The New Moon in February marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year. This year is the Year of the Rat, which is the first sign in the twelve-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. In ancient times, the rat was welcomed as a bringer of prosperity. In Chinese folklore they are a symbol of good luck and wealth. It is deemed an honor to be born in the Year of the Rat according to Chinese astrology. Though it corresponds to the cold of winter and the dark of night, it is considered to be a year of bounty. This is a fortuitous year for accumulating wealth, as Rats have a knack with money and they know how to make something out of nothing. Status and monetary satisfaction are their greatest motivators.
The New Moon is the best time for spells involving gain and Jupiter, the planet of expansion and good fortune. Working with the attributes and associations of the Year of the Rat, perform this spell today to accumulate wealth over the coming year. At 11 pm, light white, black, and red candles. Place a raw wooden treasure chest (you can buy them at the craft store) on your altar. Wrap a garnet in a dollar bill and, holding it in your hand, chant:
With the cunning of the Rat and Jupiter's good fortune, I charge this garnet with money magic! May this year bring me wealth in the form of ______.
Place the garnet in the chest and seal the magic by drawing a rat and the symbol for Jupiter on the chest.
