Incense of the day: Thyme Correspondences, incantations, and the like are wonderful adjuncts to the art of magic. But all magic begins and ends with the practitioner. The magical practitioner is the one who charges the universal energy that creates magic. The mere act of reciting words at a particular phase of the Moon does little to influence outcome. This working is not one of attracting power to you. Rather, your power has to come from within. This working therefore is one of inner growth, as you learn what power you possess and how to recognize any blocks to that power. Sit in a relaxed position. State the intent of gaining wisdom regarding your personal power. Beginning with the root, focus a stream of energy to each chakra. Focus on the emotional aspect of the chakra-on the feelings and on any blocks or negative messaging clogging these power centers. Here is a list of associations to each of the seven chakras: Root chakra: "I am." Belly: Creation and pleasure. Solar Plexus: Ability to manifest. Heart: Emotions an perceptions; also, this is the link between the mundane and spiritual planes. Throat: Speaking the truth. Brow: Perceptions of the future. Crown: Connections to a higher self Listen to the messages from your higher self. Ground any excess energy. Journal your perceptions. |
