Today is National Love Your Skin Day. Our world is populated with people of many different hues. This day is an opportunity not only to love your largest organ but also to think universally by embracing the skin colors of others and showing a bit of love for humanity. Cut random sizes of snippets of varied skin colors from images printed from websites or in magazines. Glue these different skin tones on a piece of poster board or cardboard. With a Sharpie, draw a heart shape in the center of the board over the collage. Breathe an intention for peace and recognition into some pink rose petals while cupping them in your hands. Spread out the petals over the heart shape (do not glue down). Take the poster board and petals outside at noon. Let your loving intent spread with the wind, blowing your love petals back into nature with your special message of love and acceptance. |
