Yom Kippur, the most sacred holy day in the Jewish calendar, is a time for fasting, reflection, and atonement. Here is a meditation to do today, even if you are not Jewish. If possible, abstain from food until sundown. Avoid wearing leather, jewelry, or fancy clothing. Sit on a chair with your back straight, and focus on your breathing. Inhale through your nose, and exhale through your mouth. Consciously allow toxic beliefs and harmful thoughts to dissipate with your exhalations while breathing in blessings and holiness during your inhalations. |
