Spell: Annual Grimoire Blessing

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

One of my professors in graduate school always said, “If you have no plan, you plan to fail.” There are many annual guidebooks, and they can really set you on the right track. Alongside your chosen annual, keep a grimoire. A grimoire is a magickal book of your own design and making, where you record your workings, notes, results, and ideas. This year, challenge yourself not only to purchase, design, and obtain a grimoire, but also to keeping it going the entire year. Your grimoire is an extension of you and your practice, so it should look and feel like you and your intent.

If you’ve never had a grimoire, a great way to start is to look for a blank lined book that calls out to you. Purchase it, bring it home, and bless it with a magick wand. Recite:

You are mine and I am yours.
Together we will hold, create,
and keep my magick alive as
I embark on the new year.
