Spell: Spell of Detaching

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Now, in the last sliver of the moon just before the sun returns, we are called upon to look at what attachments we still have that no longer serve us. The moon will be new on Yule this year, so tonight is a great time to let go, to detach from that which is no longer needed.
For this simple spell, you first must write a list of unneeded attachments. Be honest with yourself about them; leave no stone unturned. Ask yourself if you really need to keep reviewing the hurts from this past year, if you honestly want the relationships that aren't working.
When your list is complete, twist the paper into a long bundle, and tie it with black cotton thread. Say:

"These attachments have twisted and
thwarted my purpose. It's time to let
them go."

Then save the bundle to be used to light the Yule fire two nights hence. Watch it blaze up with the energy of your passion, re-ignited! Be blessed.
