Spell: Keep Your Side of the Street Clean

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

On a regular basis we have experiences that frustrate or annoy us. And in between those times there are moments when life shows us that we are not in control. During those times, I’m reminded of the old adage “Keep your side of the street clean.”

For this spell you will need a small container, some water, and a broom.

Fill the container with water. Hold it in your hands and say:

Blessed be, element of water; water
that cleanses, renews, and refreshes.

Dip your fingers in the water and sprinkle a few drops on your broom. Say:

Blessed be, this broom, which sweeps
away that which no longer serves me.

Pour the water onto your doorstep. Sweep the doorstep from side to side. As you sweep, let go of things you cannot control, and know that sometimes the best thing you can do is keep your side of the street clean.
