LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Stand Your Ground

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today we will be working with the energies of Tuesday, the day of the week that corresponds to Ares, the god of war. You will be using the courage that is associated with the god of war to defend yourself against your detractors. This could be a person in the workplace or online who tries to denigrate you on a consistent basis. You will create a shield for yourself to deflect all the negativity and let it slide around you.

The shield can be made out of clay, leather, or paper. Craft the shield and decorate it with words that resonate with you and what you want to achieve. For example, if you desire the person to move on, you could write or draw on your shield words such as "deflect," "depart," or "grow." After these have been added, place the shield in a space where you regularly encounter the person. If it is online, you can place the shield under your keyboard. Take a deep breath and say:

Ares, fill me with the strength to take on my critics and come out victorious.

Renew as often as needed.
