Spell: Make a Wish

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Tonight and tomorrow are peak nights for the annual Leonid meteor shower, occurring from November 5 to 30 in 2019. Up to fifteen meteors per hour will be visible to the naked eye. Go outdoors, in the dark, after midnight. Find the constellation of Leo, where the meteors radiate from. A meteor is matter broken off an asteroid or comet that burns up upon entering the earth’s atmosphere. The “shooting stars” effect lasts for a few seconds or up to a minute.

Like a kid, invoke the magic of the stars. When you see a meteor trail, repeat the age-old rhyme with a minor change:

Star light, star bright,
this meteor I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
have this wish I wish tonight.

Make a wish. Or stay out for an hour and make up to fifteen wishes on the bright meteor trails streaking across the sky.
