Spell: Passion Pot

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Scorpio energy is intense-not unlike Isabella, the heroine of John Keats's poem "The Pot of Basil." Isabella keeps her passion alive by burying the head of her murdered lover in a pot of basil, a lusty plant.

Draw on Scorpio's brooding intensity and basil's power of passion by growing a pot of basil for magical use. Before you plant your basil, cleanse and charge a piece of rose quartz (heart-shaped, if possible). Put some soil in the base of the pot, then nestle in the rose quartz with these words:

"Basil, sweet, intense in flavor,
Drink deep the love that is my favor.
Seep into root and leaf and stem
For when I need it, now and then."

Isabella watered her basil with tears. You can as well, but regular or mooncharged water will do. Incorporate your basil into recipes and any spells that call for passion-but use sparingly!
