Spell: Teachers

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

As the year comes to a close, take a moment to reflect upon those who have been your teachers. A teacher does not always take the form of a human being. Teachers can be animals, plants, things, or spirits.

Teachers teach by example. They can teach us how to move forward successfully, or, by their negative examples, they can help us choose a better path. Either way, we learn something.

Non-humans are teachers too. We learn patience through working with plants in our garden. We learn how to trust in the cycle of death and rebirth through the change of seasons. We can learn the value of a simple oil change if we fail to care for our vehicle.

Take a moment to reflect on who and what have been your teachers this year. Bless the good ones with love and thank the ones who taught you through adversity.
