Spell: The Sacrament of Hecate

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is one of the traditional feast days of Hecate, the Titanic Witch goddess of ancient Greece. In my tradition, Sacred Fires, we fill our homes with candlelight and incense smoke and chant the name of Hecate to invoke the life-changing energies of the etheric crossroads on this night. All you need is a key that is used to lock and unlock doors and that has been ritually cleansed and charged for Hecate.

Hold the key in both hands and chant Hecate, Hec-Hec-Hecate-Hec! until you feel her energy pulsing through you. Holding the key in one hand, draw a pentacle of white fire over it with your other hand and say:

"Every door I lock is an action in your name. Every door I unlock is an action the same! This key, Hecate, is my link to you. Together our magic shall always be true!"
