Spell: Making Witch's Salt

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Witch's salt, also known as black salt, can be a powerful addition to your protective spells repertoire. It can often be purchased at Pagan and occult shops, but why do that when you can easily make your own?

For my Witch's salt, I use the following:

* 1 cup sea salt
* 3 self-igniting incense charcoals
* 1 teaspoon myrrh
* 1/4 cup black pepper

Use a heat-resistant container to burn the charcoals on the salt, adding the myrrh as the coals get hot. After it is cool, stir in the pepper, being careful not to inhale it.

Sprinkle the salt around the outside of your home for protection or use it to boost your spell mixtures. This salt is not to be used for cooking, although you can buy food-safe black salt at cooking and health food stores.
