| According to tree lore, if you can snatch a leaf blown from a tree in midair before it hits the ground, it will be a good-luck talisman for the coming year. Call to the tree or trees of your choice:
"I celebrate your falling leaves as you cycle throughout the year, I wish to catch one in my hand, I request with love and good cheer!" You'll have to be quick of eye and fleet of foot to position yourself under a falling leaf. I tried this with my four oak trees, and it took me about a half hour, but I did finally get one. When you finally catch one, it's so exciting! Be sure to thank the tree, and find a place to keep your lucky leaf where it won't get damaged or lost. You could even place it in a small frame and hang it on the wall as art. |
