LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Totemic Diversity

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Sometimes we foget that every animal or plant has a totem, and instead work primarily with the totems of charismatic beings like Wolf, Bear, and Eagle, or Redwood, Oak, and Rowan.
So today, try reaching out to a totem you wouldn't ordinarily connect with. For example, if you've only ever worked with animal totems, try exploring plant totems instead. Or if you usually work with mammals or trees, try going for the smaller, hidden totems in the underbrush-or who are the underbrush!
If you've never contacted a totem before, today is a good time to try.
One easy way to do this is to visualize going through a tunnel in the ground, and then coming out in a natural place where you may find the animal or plant totem. Explore the place until you find the totem, and then respectfully start a conversation.
