Spell: Season of the Ancestors

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

As the thinning of the veil between humans and spirits becomes most noticeable, it is a good time to honor your ancestors. A fulfilling way to accomplish this is by building an ancestor altar. As the harvest season is also in full bloom, this altar should include lovely goodies from the garden. Safely burn a white candle and set your intention to honor your ancestors. Lay cloth specific to your ancestry on a table or space dedicated to your ancestry altar. If you are unsure of your ancestry, lay out a small cloth to which you are attracted.

Recite:

I call you, my ancestors.
This place, created with love, is where I honor you.

Place currency that they will find useful in a clear or crystal bowl. This can be coins, tobacco, cowrie or other shells, etc. Put fragrant flowers in a vase of water on the table. Pour water or spirits in a shot glass. Add photographs if you are called to do so.

Visit your ancestry altar to hear what they have to say to you and honor them frequently. Replenish the currency, spirits, and flowers as you are called to do so.
