Yom Kippur

Many traditional prayers were recited in Celtic countries throughout the day to give thanks for meals, to protect one during a journey, and to bless work and daily activities. There were also prayers for safe and restful sleep, such as this prayer from Scottish folk tradition. May the gods protect the
house, the fire, and the cattle
Every one who dwells within
