| With night comes sleep, and with sleep come dreams. Ordinary dreams give the mind a way to process the day's experiences and turn them into memories. True dreams may bring messages from the subconscious or from the higher self. Nightmares can make for restless sleep and lethargic days, so here's a spell for sweet dreams.
For this spell, you need a clear glass jar with a tight lid, some white sugar, clean sand that is dark enough to contrast with the sugar, and a wire. Pour a 1-inch layer of sand in the bottom of the jar, then a layer of sugar, then another layer of sand. Poke the wire down through the layers at the sides of the jar to make V-shaped patterns. Visualize the sweetness of the sugar blending with the sand, which represents sleep and dreams. Continue adding layers, and making designs with the wire until the jar is full. Seal the lid and keep the jar near your bed. Sweet dreams! |
