POSTED UNDER Sun, Water

Spell: Bread and Bones

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Make or purchase a loaf of bread from a baker and visit a body of water where birds or other animals are present. Feed the entire loaf to the animals in the park and with each piece you pull from the loaf chant:
The fallen Sun will rise again; from his flesh does life begin.
See yourself as part of the life cycle for the animals in the park and contemplate all the elements that came together to create the moment. As you observe and interact with nature, feel the rhythm of life as it flows freely from your selfless exchange; try to draw inspiration from this moment or repeat this offering anytime you are feeling removed from nature. Giving freely to nature is a liberating way to slow down and take stock of the amazing world around us!
