Incense of the day: Lavender

This is the let-down season for many. To lift your spirits, celebrate now with a ritual meal. Buy or prepare one of your favorite meals, and serve it on your best dishes. Use a pretty tablecloth, placemat, and cloth napkins, or buy paper party linens. Set the table as if a favorite celebrity or other VIP were coming to have a meal with you. Before eating, wash your hands as an act of purification. Ask: "O lord and lady, join me in my meal today. I celebrate your love and power, and I celebrate myself."

Eat your meal consciously and mindfully. Enjoy every nuance of the food and ambiance. After finishing, express your gratitude for your meal, saying: "I thank all of the spirits and energies that contributed to my enjoyment of this meal." As a transition from your ritual meal to your normal routine, clear the table, wash the dishes, and put them away.
