Color of the day: Topaz
Incense of the day: Neroli Many of us in northern climes dread the winter with its cold and snowstorms, the accompanying illnesses and the loss of light. November 24 is a traditional day to pray to the mother goddess in her aspects of light and birth. Decorate your altar with red cloth, red candles, and your favorite image of the mother goddess, preferably one that shows her pregnant. It is customary to have libations. Say: Mother, I beseech thee, protect me from illness and storm, from pain and depression, from now to the time of the quickening, when you wake from winter's slumber. Blessed be. |
