Spell: Reconnecting to Your Magical Child Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Black
Incense of the day: Honeysuckle

Magic is the reaction between the energy of self and the energy of the universe. The energy of self originates with the energy of your inner, or higher, consciousness. The role that your child plays is one of honest, pure belief in the possibility of magic. This child speaks clearly to your inner consciousness, igniting the flame of magical projection. Find a symbol that represents your magical child. This can be a toy, a rock, or any object that connects you to the magic of childhood Place this object on your altar. Relax and meditate on the significance of this object. Allow your mind to drift past your current state of cynical overanalysis to that time when magic was real-when every flower hid a fairy, every crack broke your mother's back, and every found penny or button was a magic talisman. Follow where your child leads. Feel the magic that your child feels. Listen to the messages your magical child sends to you. Keep your magical child symbol in a special place. Periodically reconnect with your magical child, and remind yourself that there are times when cynicism is the delusion and magical possibility is the "real."
