Today is Festivus for the rest of us! Festivus became part of pop culture when it was featured on Seinfeld, a popular television sitcom in the 1990s. It is an actual nonreligious holiday that was created by Daniel O'Keefe back in 1966. Although Festivus is a parody type of holiday that has "feats of strength" competitions and the proclaiming of "Festivus miracles," this spell is for the airing of grievances. It is a way to rid yourself of your frustrations privately, rather than airing your grievances in person with others. You can use the power of fire to transform things that irritate you. Fire transforms, and air allows your thoughts and ideas to disperse and flow. Obtain a black candle to absorb the negativity. Safely light the candle and speak your words of frustration over the flame. The candle flame will help burn it away, transform it, and release it into the air. After you speak your words over the flame, douse the candle. |
