For this spell, start by making or purchasing a cotton pouch of a color and design that will be pleasing to the young person (so they’ll actually wear it!). To seal the spell, blend together the following herbs (or suitable substitutes):

* Rose            * Pine
* Cedar          * Nutmeg
* Ginger         * Lavender
* Lemon         * Yarrow
* Mugwort     * Sage (culinary)
* Barley          * Echinacea

Blend the herbs together in a bowl while focusing deeply on a bright, strong protective circle growing outward from the mixture.

Place a small crystal and a cowrie shell (for the balance of male and female energies) into the pouch first, followed by a generous pinch of the herbs. Save the rest of the herbs for replacing as needed.
