Spell: Imbolc Candle Circle

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Traditionally, Imbolc begins at sundown today and continues through tomorrow. It’s time to entice the sun and warmth of spring back into our lives. This was often done through the ritual lighting of candles and fires. Here is a miniature Imbolc candle ritual that can be done anywhere.

Gather these materials:
* A permanent marker
* 8 multicolored birthday candles and holders (The holders are the plastic kind that can be poked into a cake.)
* A chunk of floral foam

Find a comfortable spot and spend a moment contemplating the return of warmth and sunshine, which brings with it hope, growth, and new beginnings.

Using your marker, write one intention on each birthday candle. Choose things you would like to see grow and brighten in your life as the sun returns. You can match the candle colors to your intent, such as pink for friendship or green for growth.

When you’re done, place the candles in the holders and insert them into the floral foam in the shape of a circle. Light all the candles, and as they burn, feel the powerful warmth coming off them, calling back the sun, hope, springtime, and all the positive growth you’d like to see in your life. Use this time to meditate on attracting your goals until the candles burn out.
