Spell: Spell for the Celtic Tree Month of Birch/Beth

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The Celtic lore assigning trees to months offers guidelines for magical and inner work. Birch (Beth) begins on this date and is a time of new beginnings. Birch is protective and healing, and also is associated with new endeavors, new relationships, and fertility. You can buy birch bark from your local Pagan or herb shop (or health food store), or find a peeling of birch bark from a local tree (it should pull off easily if it is ready to shed). You can make an incense with the bark, or simply keep it on your altar to receive its inspiration. You may also make a small bundle of birch twigs (tie with red or green ribbon), and place it in a prominent place (such as near the front door) for protection.
