Every gift has been opened, every relative and friend has visited, and way too much food has been consumed. The holidays have been celebrated in every possible way. And yet, more parties and activities begin tomorrow. If the tree is starting to look a little shabby or bare, perhaps this is the year to begin a new family tradition.
Make some quiet family time today. Light red candles to honor Mars-and to build up personal power. Try to avoid electronic distractions. Pack away the ornaments and most decorations. Put gifts in their new proper places. Create a charity box for any old items that may have been replaced with new ones. Take down the tree: if fake, put it back in the box or storage space, and if live, dispose of it in the most environmentally friendly fashion. Eat lightly, drink plenty of water, take a short walk, and nap at least once. Extinguish the candles and go to bed early in preparation for the next two days of renewed celebration. |
