Spell: Eve of Vestalia Cleaning

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Vestalia is the weeklong celebration of the goddess Vesta, often portrayed as a hearth flame.
Traditionally, this was the time of the annual cleaning and preparation of the temple of Vesta. If you are in need of a new besom, or broom, now may be a good time to purchase or craft one. Dispose of the old broom by cleansing it with saltwater. Burn it, if that is convenient, or put it out with the recycling. Likewise, cleanse and bless your new broom with the spell below. Use the new tool to chase away the cobwebs, both literal and figurative. Clean the entire house, just one room, or your sacred space. After cleaning, be sure to shake your broom outside-no cobwebby brooms back in the closet!

"Salt and sage, cleanse this broom, bring to it power for me alone. Vesta, guard my hearth an home, your hearth fire bright in every room."
