| The Romans used this night to connect with the spirits of those who had gone on in order to clear away any old, negative feelings in those relationships and to reinforce their love and happy memories of their lost loved ones.
Sit in a dark room facing a window (make sure the curtains are open) with one white candle in front of you on a table. Light it with a match and say: "I welcome you to my light in peace." Focus on the flame and allow your most powerful need to rise. Who is it you must make amends with? Or simply renew love and laughter with? Focus on that person and repeat the following: "Open heart, open mind, open spirit. I see clearly, I hear the truth, I feel you with me. I thank you, I forgive you, I love you." When complete, blow out the candle. |
