Color of the day: Gray
Incense of the day: Frankincense If you've never worked with a black scrying mirror, this dark half of the year is a good time to start. Find a picture frame (81⁄2 x 11 inches is a good size) that you like. Take out the glass. Wash it with a tincture of mugwort and dry it thoroughly. Paint the back of the glass a flat black and let dry thoroughly. Slide the glass back into the frame, black side to the back, and consecrate it in your tradition. Light one candle on each side of the mirror and one candle halfway between you and the center of the mirror. Gaze into the glass. Ask a specific question and let images form in the glass. Be careful not to lean forward into the flame. |
