Incense of the day: Cinnamon Why should birthdays happen only once a year? To celebrate your unbirthday, write your name in all the varieties that you use on a small piece of paper. Place that paper in a small box and wrap it with festive paper. Now, gather three colored birthday candles, a cupcake, and several lengths of colored ribbon. Place the first candle in the cake and make a wish. Do the same with the second and third candles. Light them, and take the box and hold it in front of you, chanting: "I am special and I declare today is my day." As you chant, tie a bow around the box. With each loop, think about your own special qualities. Place the box next to your plate and sing your birthday song. Blow out the candles. Eat the cake, and keep the gift on your altar as a constant reminder that you are special every day. |
