Spell: Desert Protection Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Purple
Incense of the day: Thyme

During summer, any place can seem like a desert. Take advantage of this hot, fierce energy to work a spell for protection. Just as cacti grow sharp spines to defend their moist, succulent parts from hungry animals, you can protect yourself in such a manner now. For this spell, you need a potted cactus and one
or more stones that add to the protective, desert mood. Crushed lava rock can be used to cover the soil all around the plant. Smoky quartz crystals, flint arrowheads, and tumbled carnelians make good accents. Set the stone in the Sun for at least an hour to charge it. Then place the stone in the pot next to the cactus. Visualize your home protected by a layer of thorns projecting outward, just as with the cactus. Connect this image to the stone, which will provide power. Conversely to welcome someone inside that you'd like to have visit, visualize a cactus flower projecting beyond the thorns. Keep the cactus in a sunny window in your home.
