LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Election Day Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: White
Incense of the day: Ginger

Today is Election Day in the United States. The opportunity to vote is an honored trust and an act of magic. The spirits of the founding fathers of the United States and the suffragettes of the last two centuries gather on this day to bless your actions, however you choose to vote. Our civic lives are as important as our magical ones. To find wisdom in your life as a citizen, place a newspaper on your altar. Draw or write your concept of a free and open society on the newspaper. For wisdom burn some sage and smudge the newspaper, asking for the wisdom to understand the issues of society, then chant:

Ancient ones of power and wisdom, give me understanding of my world and how to use my rights wisely. For the good of all and the harm of none. Blessed be.
