Incense of the day: Clove Tis the season now for overeating, especially of sweets. To assist your efforts to battle this, keep fennel tea handy. Add about a quarter teaspoon of fennel herb to a coffee mug. If you really like the taste of licorice, add a small amount of anise herb, too. Boil some water, and pour it hot over the the herb(s). Let the herbs steep for two to three minutes, then strain them out. Let the tea cool, and then refrigerate. When you need some relief from gas or upset stomach, drink about a quarter cup of the your licorice ice tea. Note: Children should have not have fennel tea unless it is diluted to not more than one-eighth cup of tea to one cup water. |
