Spell: Healing a Broken Heart

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Transmute the pain of heartbreak into the gifts of wisdom and hope, inspired by Leonard Cohen's reminder that everything is a little bit broken, but it's the cracks that let in the light. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Focus on your breath until you feel present in your body, firmly situated in the current moment.

Place one hand over your heart and one over your belly, and attune with the rising and falling harmony of your breath accompanied by the drumbeat of your heart. Picture your heart in your mind's eye, allowing it to be just as it is, which might be a little bruised, a little cracked, a little broken right now. Visualize the energy of divine love, sparking like a seed in your heart. It glows brighter, and brighter still, until your heart is radiating with this light—light that might be more visible through the cracks of your experience. Let the imagery fade and open your eyes, knowing you are right where you're meant to be.
