LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: A Spell for Truth

Hanukkah is a festival of light that illuminates the darkness-symbolism that is also a metaphor for truth. To discover the truth in any situation, light each of the nine candles on a Hanukkah menorah, or use nine white taper candles on each night for nine nights. As you do so, chant:

Light that makes the darkness flee,
Show the truth I seek to me.
On the ninth night, place some jasmine and the stump of one of the burned down candles under your pillow so you will dream of the truth you seek.
