Spell: Refresh Your Altar

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

As we approach the day of the summer solstice, you might want to consider taking some time to refresh your altar (or to create one, if you haven’t yet). Think of it as a bit of Midsummer spiritual housecleaning, a way to prepare yourself for the magical workings of the second half of the year.

Working mindfully and with focus, remove everything already on the altar, and clean and dust as necessary. You can either return all of the objects to their original spot or perhaps change things up to reflect the season or new magical goals. You can finish up with an offering of fresh flowers, or perhaps a small glass of mead or milk for the faeries, if it is safe to do so. Take a moment to send out appreciation for the altar, the day, and the presence of the gods in your life.
