Spell: An Animal Shelter Blessing

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

In the Chinese zodiac, Dog folk possess some of the best traits in human nature: loyalty, honesty, straightforwardness, and dependability. Usher in the Year of the Dog with a shelter and rescue blessing.

Make a crystal elixir by adding a rose quartz (for love), jade (for healing, health, and luck), and tiger's eye (for success and drive) to a cup of water. Let the stones imbue the water with their power over the night of Lunar New Year. Bless the shelter or rescue organization in person, or simply visualize it. Sprinkle the water in the sacred formation of your choice ( like a spiral or star) with these words:

"Bless this place with Dog
energy, with love and loyalty,
fierceness and friendship.

Bring to its doorstep plenty,
prosperity, and loyal people called
to do this necessary work.

May those who come here seeking
companionship do so with honest
intentions and a responsible heart.

So mote it be."
