LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Banish Negativity

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

As we move into the darker months, it is good to let go of whatever negativity we have been holding on to, so we don't drag it into the dark with us. This spell will help you do that.

In a dim, quiet room (or outside at night), light one black candle and one white candle. Meditate for a moment on what things in your life lift you up and which ones pull you down. Then concentrate on the black candle and say this spell:

"Quietly and willingly
I let go
Of all those things that no longer
work for my benefit
And let the light shine in,
Even during the darker months.
I let go of negativity.
I let it go
And welcome the positive instead."

Then blow out the black candle and spend a few minutes enjoying the glow of the white one.
