Spell: Elk Medicine Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

To ensure hunting success this autumn, mentally prepare your awareness while the sun is in the sign of Aries. Make a spiritual connection to your hunting grounds and to the elk herd as it welcomes a new generation this spring.

Fill and stitch closed a handsewn leather pouch containing the following items:

* One elk tooth ( procured from an ethical hunt)
* 2-inch patch of elk hide with fur intact ( procured from an ethical hunt)
* Two 4-inch sections of cut elk bone ( procured from an ethical hunt)
* 1 smoky quartz
* Pinch of wild grass
* 8 dried resins
* Pinch of sage
* Pinch of sweetgrass

Place this medicine bag at the entrance of your hunting trail for seventy- two hours. When you retrieve it, burn sage and sweetgrass to the spirits. Offer your prayers to the ancestors and ask for permission to fill your tag quota. On the way home, frequently stop to adore and photograph the land that you will hunt on. Collect any rubbish you encounter to engage your guardianship of the land.
