LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Knot Magic for Pain

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

To help relieve pain from injuries or help ease chronic pain, knot magic is useful. Obtain red cord of a natural fiber, such as cotton, as this will help the cord draw out the pain. Rub the cord on the afflicted area, then tie a knot on one end of the cord. Chant this spell:

"I draw the pain into this knot.
Relief from pain is hereby sought.
As the cord burns, the pain is released,
Wellness restored and suffering ceased."

Rub the cord on the afflicted area again, and tie a knot on the other end of the cord. Chant the spell again. Rub the cord on the afflicted area one last time, and tie a knot in the middle of the cord. Chant the spell again.
Press the cord to the afflicted area, and with all your willpower, send the pain into the cord. Finally, burn the cord safely. Bury the remains.
