Spell: Baking Up Togetherness

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Those crazy Romans had a god or goddess for pretty much everything, and Fornax was the goddess of ovens. In February, she was celebrated with a three-day festival known as the Fornacalia. Help observe the last day of the Fornacalia and create some family togetherness/memories at the same time. There can be something quite soothing about baking bread together. It can also be a bonding experience to bake-or cook-with your family, especially the kids.
So break out one of your favorite recipes for quick bread, a yeast bread, or some other doughy, baked concoction and get to work. Just for the fun factor, I'd suggest this wonderful monkey bread recipe on FamilyFun.com: http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/monkey-bread-685023.
